Personal Statement - Sport Development and Making the Difference

I endeavor to make a difference. Training a range of sports from Junior Kindergarten to senior leagues in schools and clubs has provided the opportunity to work with all ages, genders and abilities.  Football is my passion. From Soccer 4 TOTS (Active Starters Program for aged 3-5 children), Junior Teams, Regional Youth Rep Squad, Directing National Academy Programs to Senior International Football World Cup Teams, I have gained a wealth of knowledge and experience regarding the pathway to performance through developmental progression.  This in turn has established a foundation for my most recent project, "From Streets to Stadiums", a grassroots to high performance Long Term Sport and Athlete Development initiative.

Sport is evolving quickly.  A new wave of coaching and learning is being implemented. Through a Long Term Sport and Athlete Plan, in all its diversity, I strive to enhance players from grass root to high performance. By differentiating according to the needs and ability of the cohort, development can advance talents and potentially create individuals and teams around strengths, culture, and physical literacy. I embrace the International Baccalaureate Learner Profile and ‘Essential Elements’ as part of my philosophy and adopt these attributes when advancing potential.
